Carly and Anthony’s vintage style wedding at Yandina Station near Coolum was one to remember. Carly’s dress was made by family friend Trishia Carney from Allure Designs and the styling was stunning by the team at Lovebird Weddings. I had such a great day with this truly lovely couple and I was so happy that the rain held off for the most part of the day for them. It would have been a shame not to have had the ceremony under the magnificent fig tree, and to have had use of the grounds of Yandina Station. The food and staff were some of the best I have seen. I really think it is one of the Sunshine coasts best wedding venues minutes away from the beautiful Coolum Beach.

Melanie & Kent (Bribie Island)

All things I love about summer…beach, sun, and a great wedding to photograph. Melanie and Kent knew how to have a good time and they decided Pacific Harbour Golf and Country Club on Bribie Island was the perfect place to have their wedding. Bribie has some great spots for photos especially on the calm side with the sun setting over the water. I scouted out a few spots and stumbled accross a great dirt road leading to the eastern point of the island which would look great with their cool cars. Unfortunately it was the place to be when we arrived so we had to hold up a bit of traffic to get our shots. We then dusted off our shoes and headed back to the Club where the room was set up in a European style with all tables being labeled with all the places Melanie and Kent had visited.

Aya & Filipe (Walkabout Creek)

I am finally catching up on updating my BLOG with some of the last few weddings from last year. Aya and Filipe were married back in November at one of my local venues, Walkabout Creek, The Gap. The joining of these two cultures made for a beautiful wedding, Aya chose a very feminine style for her and her bridesmaids and they all looked stunning and graceful. Filipe and his entourage looked cool and calm as they greated their large family and friends. I have really enjoyed this location throughout the year as the seasons change and the sun flickers through from different angles onto the landscape.

Kylie & Brent (Sanctuary Cove)

Well there wasn’t a dry eye in the place while Kylie walked down the aisle. Her husband to be was overcome with emotion at the sight of her. The energy of this couple was beautiful and it was a pleasure to be a part of their day. We had a great afternoon of photos around Sanctuary Cove then headed off to the Gold Coast for some final shots on the beach. Well we didn’t make the beach,we barely made it back to the Watermark Hotel before the skies opened up to a truly ferocious storm. This didn’t worry Kylie and Brent a bit, instead we took a few more photos as they kicked back and relaxed in stunning suite with their Bridal party before the reception began.

Jo & Anthony (Topiaries at Beaumont)

I was so impressed with this property, its location and what it had to offer. Jo & Anthony had a stress free day as everything was catered for in the one location. The rooms were magnifient and the grounds were truly beautiful. Their guests certainly seemed to enjoy the afternoon as the sun set over the Samford Valley and Mt Mee. Here is just a little snippet of their day.

Kym & Brett (Shelly Beach)

The gorgeous Kym and Brett had their beach wedding on Shelly Beach, one of the Sunshine coast’s tucked away secrets. Kym and her bridesmaids looked amazing and effortlessly matched the beauty of their surrounds. We found some lovely little spots for photos and even managed to see a few whales splashing around, unfortunately not captured in my photos. We had a great day at this wedding spotting a few familiar faces and really solidifying the fact that I really do love a beach wedding. Their reception was held at the Power Boat Club at Golden Beach, Caloundra.

Kim & Tony scored one of those perfect spring days in the park. There was that familiar heat haze over the Brisbane horizon and clear blue sky. After their ceremony in the Brisbane City Botanical Gardens we walked along the Riverside boardwalk followed by a Ferry ride across to the Kangaroo Point Cliffs. Their reception was a cocktail party at the Cliffs Cafe.

Magda is truly a Polish beauty with a uniqueness that shone in front of the camera. Tom and Magda share a special love, humour and charm which seemed to rub off on every one around them. After so many weekends of hit and miss weather this truly was one of those magical Spring days where the sun was warm and the air full of freshness. Magda’s style was truly complimented by the charm of Bundaleer Rainforest Gardens.
